Privacy policy.
Effective 20 May 2026The Chemistry Company, LLC ("Chemistry," "we," "us," or "our") operates thechemistry.co and related properties (the "Site"). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We aim to collect the minimum information needed to do good work and to respond when you reach out. If you have questions, write to engage@thechemistry.co.
01Information we collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you give us — when you email us, submit an inquiry, share a brief, or otherwise correspond with us. This may include your name, email address, employer, role, and the content of your message.
- Information collected automatically — when you visit the Site, our hosting and analytics infrastructure may log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages visited, and timestamps. This is used to operate the Site and to understand aggregate usage.
02How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to inquiries and correspond with prospective or current clients;
- provide, maintain, and improve the Site;
- protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks;
- comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or behavioural targeting.
03Cookies & similar technologies
The Site uses a minimal set of first-party storage to deliver content (for example, remembering display preferences) and to load fonts from Google Fonts. We do not use advertising cookies. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies via your settings; doing so may affect how the Site behaves.
04Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only when:
- it is necessary to operate the Site or deliver work you have engaged us for;
- you have asked us to (for example, an introduction to a partner);
- required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety;
- in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or asset transfer, in which case we will provide reasonable notice.
05Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy — typically the duration of our correspondence or engagement, plus a reasonable period for record-keeping and legal compliance. You may ask us to delete your information at any time (see Your rights below).
06Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar state and national laws. These rights commonly include:
- access to the personal information we hold about you;
- correction of inaccurate information;
- deletion of your information;
- objection to or restriction of certain processing;
- portability of your information;
- withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, write to engage@thechemistry.co. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
07Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
08International transfers
Chemistry operates from the United States and the United Kingdom. If you are based outside these jurisdictions, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from your own. By using the Site or corresponding with us, you understand and consent to such transfer.
09Children's privacy
The Site is intended for a professional audience and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us so we can delete it.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for a reasonable period. Your continued use of the Site after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
